PostSubject: Xmas Row by Row Swap   Fri Oct 21, 2016 8:02 pm

Ok so its time to get cracking and organise the xmas themed row by row swap. Who wants to join? Same old rules, row height doesnt matter but it must be 30 1/2" long. Once your row is done please email it to other participants.  Make close date to have your row designed Nov 15, that gets it done before your thanksgiving.

Got my idea ready to go! Second idea may not work quite how I want it but sometimes just got to get it on paper.

no worries thanks for letting us know Marynel, I suspect it will just be TxMary and I, everyone else is most likely too busy to draw up rows

Oh Breezie, it will be fun to have someone new join in.

Just to clarify, we are only swapping the patterns, not a finished row. All you have to do is design a row, you don't even have to sew one up if you don't have time but we always love seeing it in living color. lovehearts Hope y'all will join the fun. Working on mine now!!!

I think this way is better. If I have energy, I may draw something up. I have a row of ornaments or presents in mind.

Yes thats right Bonnie thats what happened in the past, this time its cost free as we just draw up our design for a 30 1/2" row, height is up to you then scan your pattern and email it. Each person then makes their own row from your pattern

We understand Breezie. But if you come up with an idea, go ahead and put it in fabric. We would love to see it!

TxM have you decided what you're doing? Don't want to come up with the same things again!

Anyone else know their theme or want to tell?

Sorry Bonnie, did you take a stroll around the internet and see some simple ideas? Some of our rows in the past have been very simple, they dont have to be hard, take a look at the 4th July swap topic and you will see I make a row with uncle sam hats, it was very simple

Linda I know I wrote a note with my xmas row idea on it, just wondering where that note is, if I find it I will let you know

just found my note, the only idea I had to date was to do an Aussie themed row, Santa's sleigh being pulled through the night sky by 6 white boomers, colloquial term for kangaroos (if I can draw them that is) that had been my idea, I reckon after running over one of his reindeer on Sat night, it might be best if I stick to kangaroos hahaha

I have quite a collection of ornament patterns saved in my Quiltpro files, so I'll post a few as suggestions, in case you are interested.

They are posted. One refused to cooperate. It is 2 half circles with a row of brightly colored equilateral triangles between. Ornaments are a great place to use those fancy scraps that are too small for most uses but too large to toss.
