Nah..I'm sure the fabric is smelly..and awful quality..and they'll send the wrong colors. Be happy you don't have to buy that nasty stuff Gimpy! :halloweenb:

There's supposed to be money in DH's wallet? :affraid:

Just kidding! DH NEVER knows what I spend. I get a flat preset amount out of every paycheck. That is for groceries, gas for the car, clothing, anything I want for the household, or spending on what I want. If I'm a smart shopper and use coupons I get more...so I'm a smart shopper! I stay in my budget and never ask for extra. Sometimes it means I have to save up for things, but that just makes me appreciate them more.

I went to the site and tried to place an order and they kept rejecting because of my zip code... their was nothing wrong with it so I just deleted the order... was a pretty good savings on the batting too.. darn... I have ordered from them before so don't know what the problem was... maybe I should try again... 40% of was a pretty good deal... cry2

I have ordered from them several times and have never been unhappy. Remember, you can call them and they will take your order over the phone too!! Very nice people to deal with. They have sales on certain things every month.... nice to be able to stock up on batting and batiks, they are always so expensive! :halloween1:

Golo..I contacted Connecting Threads and told them I was disappointed that the fabric they listed as reds and burgundy were so pale. They said they'd send me a shipping label to send them back for a refund. I thought that was nice!

AND..the shop that carries the tea towels you posted..(I couldn't find the post when I looked for it) the lady from there called me and said I only had 11 towels in my order and if I added one more I'd get the 30 discount on each. It would be like that last towel was free. I thought I had ordered twelve..but I wasn't feeling very good when I ordered so I made a mistake. I had a nice chat with her. She's super nice! She told me how the design board works on her site too. She said she has people ask her to choose fats to go with other things they've selected and she's happy to do that. She loves to give customers good service! I told her I was going to talk about her to my friends LOL

I am so glad to hear that these sales ladies were so nice..... especially Connecting threads because I have been so happy with them... I wish Keepsakes had called me on my order.. I was shy about $1.50 for a discount and they didn't inform me of it till I recieved the order... a little late...

The fabric from Connecting Threads was beautiful quality..just not what I had in mind for the project I want to do. I especially like that you can get fabrics as fat quarters. I don't know of anywhere else that allows that..especially on clearance fabric.

It's a shame Keepsake didn't send you an email or call about your order. It's no fun to find out AFTER the fact that you could have gotten a discount.

Well..there's a lot of people we have to keep working! From the cotton growers, weavers, printers, shippers, and store people. Then there's the UPS people and gas stations.. Also, cardboard bolt makers and all that goes into making and shipping those. I'm feeling very virtuous! lmao

I saw an Ad for Connecting Threads in a magazine. If you type in MC596 in the promo code when you place an order you'll get $5.96 off your order. Your order must be for $5.96 or more. You can use it for threads, fabrics, whatever you want. Ends 4/1/09

I just splurged for the Portobello Market kit from Hancocks-Paducah..
http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/Item--i-M-KIT-3940
so I'm trying to behave. BUT there's also a code you can use at Connecting threads to get $5.96 off. If anybody's interested the code is..FP596. It's good until 5/1/09.
