Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous! (I might as well put that on "speed dial" if I could cause I haven't ever seen one of your quilts that wasn't gorgeous!
Someday I would love to hear your thoughts on how you choose your fabrics!

As they say in "A Christmas Carol" (the one with George C. Scott) " A triumph, my dear. Another triumph" (Bob Cratchet)

For this project I decided to use the same color palette that I used on my double 4 patch. I had just gotten a new area rug for the Family room and pulled fabrics that were similar to the colors in it for that one. My guest room has dusty aqua walls and a deep red, almost burgundy drapes that were chosen to go with a nice bedding set I got, and I thought this same color scheme would look good in there? I think the gold will bring out the golden wood tones in the bed frame and armoire? I think I'm sort of stuck in this color scheme. The Pine Burr has many of these same fabrics, but with brown..and the Tobacco Road had the golds, greens, and dark reds/burgundy. Then I did a large wall hanging that has the same greens, coral and deep reds. Maybe after this one I should do something blue?

I really like it Linda! I think this is such a fun quilt to do! I look forward to seeing your progress. I think the gal that's posting this is giving real good instructions..and she has pics of each step to use for reference...but if you have any questions you can contact her. She's a really nice gal!

I set my fabrics aside when I cleaned up the house for the holidays and haven't gotten back to this yet. When I get my fabrics out I can do Dec. and Jan.'s rows at the same time?

You're doing great Linda! Those first few rounds go pretty fast don't they? I've just gotten caught up to January..but I see that Feb. is posted.

There was a typo in the 8a round. I told Alicia about it and she fixed it immediately. Not at all like Jennifer Chiaverini and her Sylvia's blocks!

Your different choice of fabrics makes these two look like 2 completely different quilts. I love them both.......and love this quilt Smitten I am just going to finish off a few odds and sods then I will start mine. I was thinking of doing mine all in different shades of blue!

Please tell me both........is this a tricky one?

Thanks for the kind words about my quilt! I am really enjoying this a lot!

Polly..this is surprising how easy it is. The gal that is posting this gives easy instructions..in fact in some cases tells you more than one way to do the units. The only thing I'd say is..make sure your seam allowance is a true 1/4". Take a look at the instructions by clicking on the name of the rounds. You can see she has step by step pics. I encourage anybody that's sitting on the fence about this project to give it a go. It's great fun. I think it would be gorgeous in blues. lovehearts
