memaw, it's the purse I made a couple of years ago (that I probably didn't photograph). It might have taken more than a couple of days to get there, but one day I looked down and saw that it was ratty-looking. Fraying and greying, you know?

Just today I've cut the new purse and quilted the pieces (um, in the opposite order). Hopefully it'll be done before I need to go to work this evening. And I'll post a picture or two.

As for the gnomes, I still haven't printed March's pattern. That'll be 3rd on my list this week, after the purse and finishing the quilting on a gift quilt for a friend. If I can get the quilting finished today (not a high degree of probability there), I can get it to another friend to hand-sew the binding for me when we meet for coffee tomorrow.

That's so bright and cheery, Linda!

Last weekend a group of us got together to work on our gnomes - 3 of the people hadn't ever done fusible applique before, so I shared my vaaaasssst store of knowledge lmao

And here's my March block

Cute blocks ladies. Wish I could get my camera to load pictures cause mine's done too.
Tracy, yours sure is different. I like it! Never brave enough to go outside the box like that though. bowing
Linda I like yours too. Mine is similar except I think a couple of my block colors were a bit dark, but in person you can read it so I left them instead of changing them.

Oh the purples and blue greens are awesome, nice colour choices! Love the photos of every one working away happily, especially the last pic where you get a peek at two more gnome rows!! Thanks for sharing, nothing better than photos for some fun

Tracy,  your block is really cute also.  I'm going to start work on mine Tuesday.

It's that time of the month... Shocked

Time for the April Gnome block! This month is JOY. Let's find some, okay?

JOY

And for those who just can't get enough... or who have a soft spot for Things That Go Bump In The Night - Sindy's NEW BOM, BooTacular is online!

BooTacular

Looks like it's the same layout and the backgrounds are the same size. Of course I've downloaded it!

It just occurred to me... the way the quilt top is built, one could ostensibly Quilt as You Go.  The first two blocks form the first row. If I knew what sashing I want to use, this could be a thing.

Imagine having to only put on borders and binding at the end of the series.

Yes, I am imagining. We'll see how ambitious I get.

Eh, I know I am not that ambitious. I would have to think and plan to do QAYG and I don't want to do neither! Thud

I've never done QAYG, I should try it sometime!

Soooo. here's a mixed blessing for ya. I am teaching, retreating or fulfilling Guild responsibilities every Saturday. My first 'free' Saturday is JUNE 30.

So far.  Shocked

I have the third Gnome block printed, just haven't sat still long enough to pick fabrics. I *could* be tracing the pattern onto fusible while I sit and watch TV after work, but I seem to have developed a nasty habit.

snooze

Tomorrow is a half day Out In The World. Maybe I'll be able to play with fabric after that!

Block 3 is fused and ready to be stitched, but I'll wait till my machine comes home. I don't want the stitches to look different from using a different machine.

I got April's block traced, fused and cut yesterday! Tomorrow I'm going to a Sew Daze (a sew-in for the guild) so I can probably get it fused to the background.

I may also swing by a fabric store and pick up a background for the Halloween BOM... Because who doesn't need more projects???
