Thanks for the warning, Pookie. I came close to ordering towels from Art to Heart. I won't now! I pre-washed all the towels I have so far - but now I'm wondering if I should wash them again and make sure there's not going to be a problem, before I applique on them.

...........valentines is done :coffee1:
What can I say....I seem to be between projects and during the holidays I didn't want to get into sashing two quilts which is where my UFO list is The valentines one is real cute, I'm quite pleased with it, y'all are going to have to wait to see it though. I installed a long dowel below a long shelf I have in my sewing room I figure I will display them their before sending the particular month to the kitchen.
And besides....if i get through the months fast maybe spring will come early!!

Annie, I noticed the same thing yesterday, I had no problems either.
Have any of you read "The Secret" or seen the authors on Oprah? Well its a lot of hoopla about thinking positive and becoming rich...yeah....rrrrrrright!!
But the premis of the book is fairly simple and were as I think the book is a bit of a stretch I used it last year to help me bring spring........I lived in spring most of the winter. I looked at "spring clip art" I worked on springish sewing etc....So in a way I had spring all winter.
I know this sounds a bit new agey but it worked for me. Im not a real fan of winter.

CC..I've been sewing a Blooming 9 patch in Spring colors. I hope that will help speed up Spring?
I find that we can't control the weather..or most other things for that matter..but we CAN control our attitudes.
I'm not much of a "cold weather" person...or Hot either. I guess I just don't handle extremes very well? Anyways..
I'm trying to enjoy these dark cold days because I can sit with my quilt covering me as I stitch away on the quilting...
and feel comfortable. lovehearts

Golo..I saw the snow angel done in redwork somewhere in my travels around the internet.
I thought it was a cute idea and drew a quick sketch of it. I don't know who to give credit for the idea?
I didn't know if it would look right done in fabric..but DH said he could tell what it was..and he even said he liked it!
It's a rare occasion that DH says anything more than.."MmmmHmm..that's nice honey". LOL

AOL says: It's a rare occasion that DH says anything more than.."MmmmHmm..that's nice honey". LOL My DH most often says that's not too bad or that's pretty good. When he uses some superlative like "real nice" I nearly fall over!!

AOL's towel reminded me - At the P.O. yesterday I noticed envelopes and boxes they have for sale. The design is the cutest penguins making snow angels. I don't know why I didn't do it right then, but I'm going to buy whichever product is cheapest - then I can enlarge the design and make a pattern from it.

Thanks for the kind words. These work up pretty fast!

It's really fun seeing each towel. They are all so different from each other. lovehearts

I'm staying tuned Pookie!

I bet those penguins ARE cute! They'd be great as pattern for a towel, pillow, or quilt block. Go back QBee!
