For some reason I could not put all the info into that post. The list is of everyone's preferences. If I have anything wrong, yell at me, okay? I will fix it on the master list and put it right on here, too.

Bearfoot has offered to make a locked thread that has everyone's preferences and birthdays, as well as all due dates. I have told her YES! I had meant to ask if we could have one, anyhow. She took it a step farther and is going to make a gallery album for pics of the blocks you make! One place to go to look at all the lovelies! I said YES! to that as well. What great ideas!

You are up to date, now TLC! Thumbup That one will definitely get me out of my comfort zone. I have never done civil war! LOL! I tend to scream through my quilts. The brighter, the bolder, the louder the colors, the better! coolsmiley

Oh I'm having the devil of a time picking a style of block. I'm really leaning toward applique, but I know that's a bit hard for some folks. I like flowers and baskets, so maybe something alone those lines with a neutral or tone-on-tone background. ....12" sounds good too. Okay, I guess that's it - 12" flower baskets (any color) on a tone-on-tone or neutral background. I don't care if they are set on point or straight up and down. Variety is the spice of life. :D

Are you all ready for Christmas?!! I just have a couple more stockings to make - real velvet and fake fur with machine embroidery on top and bottom portions of stockings. I made several (8) so far for other family members and got those in the mail. Now I need to make one for my son.... oh yeah, and ME! Guess I better get busy.

Hey! Where's the "Merry Christmas" emoticon. I see Happy Birthday, Happy Thanksgiving, and Happy Halloween, but no Merry Christmas??? What's up with that??? Knuppel

Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS to one and all!!!! I hope you all have a very blessed Christmas and New Year.

Hi Kris,

my block-size was 9" not 12 - can you still change it?

Linda 2B Thanks for reminding me Hug - already had a post-it note on my print out.

I checked the list - good job PK - but what does "baskets on point" mean? Does it mean they need to point diagnoally??

I fixed your info, Karin. What "on point" means for basket blocks is that when a block viewed as a square the basket tends to look like it is tipped over. But when you turn it so that the block is now a diamond, the basket is standing the right way. Here is a good example. http://www.quilterscache.com/B/BasketofChipsBlock.html If you tilt your head to the side you will see that the basket is standing the right way. Most pieced basket blocks do this.

I just got asked if we are signing the blocks. YES!!! Please sign the front of your blocks and please, use a permanent FABRIC marker. Just be sure not to sign in the seam allowance. We want your siggies to be seen when they are sewn with the other blocks. Oh, and NO!!!, it does not spoil the blocks. Do you remember Merry Bee? (She died just recently.) She was in the last swap and she, like the rest of us, signed on the front of her blocks. Those blocks are especially precious to me, since they are my way of remembering her. So, please sign your blocks! I'm not saying any of us will die soon, do not think it!, I just want my friends to get the credit for the lovilies that they made. Okay??

Wow - all that goes on the front of the block? How do you get it all on without detracting from the block itself? Maybe someone can post a pic of a past BD block so I can see how to do it. Thanks

I'm still thinking. Looked through books last night trying to decide. So many choices!! Can we be really specific, as in... certain style? I think I would like Sunbonnet Sue but there is a certain style I would like. Help!! Undesided
