Here is my block 9 finally finished. I changed it from what she had, mirror imaged the cherry blossoms so on both sides, only put 4 leaves not 6 and added the embroidered swirls

I got block #5 finished today. This is the first one that I was not thrilled with the original pattern (remember we talked about it a little way back when it was first offered?). The only change I made was to round out the fan shape a bit... the original looked misshapen.

I'm not going to work on the next R.D. until I get the JUNE calendar block and the AUGUST Bunny Hill block done! doh

Oh I like that FibreBabble, it does look nice rounded out and I like the gold fabrics you used with it. Is your friend still doing her orange version?

Not right now, Helen - she just left Sydney... don't know if she's coming your way or stopping in NZ first!!

(And thank you! Hug )

PostSubject: Re: Red Delicious BOM 2009   Thu Dec 03, 2009 3:32 pm

Thanks gals, uuumm the ones that I changed... well I tipped the teapot..LOL.... the butterflies next to the roses were some kind of rolling waves same with the branches under two other.... the mushroom one is different than hers and the leaves next to the bow in the basket are going down into the basket instead of into the bow..... When I had written that I was unhappy about one of the blocks, she wrote that she was doing blocks that had memories to her so that is when I decided to put butterflies on mine because they are a good memory of my son's childhood... I can hardly wait to see Lynda's purple one ....
