Mom picked out fabric for my last 3 QAL blocks when she was over last Sunday. I just finished cutting out all 3 this afternoon and decided I felt suicidal, so I was gonna start Starshine first.

Look Mommy, I paper pieced that part!

Now to decide if I want to finish this today or see about clearing off the table for dinner soon....

Thanks AOL! I was so excited by that one little bit there it's ridiculous (then again, I was pretty depressed before this, so it wasn't going to take much to get me excited.) I measured the pieces and cut some strips about an inch wider than that, thinking that would be good. So far, it's working.

I did go and try to do the next piece....but after getting the first two pieces in right, I realized I put the wrong piece third, then realized it didn't look right if I put the RIGHT piece next, and found out I'd flipped my first two pieces. Doh! Ok, time to quit for the day and make supper now!

Don't get discouraged Bratt. I've done a LOT of paper piecing and one of my most important tools is my razor claw seam ripper.LOL (guess why?) You're doing it upside down and backwards..so little mishaps are bound to happen. Eat something and come back to it with fresh eyes. You're doing a good job..you'll get it. Then..do a little happy dance! You've earned it! :yahoo:

Brat.....I Love that fabric!! PP is funny. sometimes it just falls into place and other times it can be a real struggle. I tend to pin along a seam and then flip it to make sure my seams are covered. I finger press alot too.
