QBee..I ditto what Karol said! You are always so giving of your praise to others...that's a big thing! Some days it may be the only nice thing someone has heard all day.
Thanks for experimenting with this and sharing your results...and thanks for sharing your calendar block idea.
QBee..the shrinky dink/calendar block Queen! bowing

Pookie - Lovely block! Such nice colors and prints - and I especially like the dots basket!

Here's another picture of mine, just to show the hanger I'm sending to my aunt. The dowel slips out of the end of the hanger so she'll be able to take one basket off and slide the next one on.

Pookie..I really like your block! lovehearts Did you post it on the Flickr site? Anne..the designer makes comments on them..it's fun!
I sewed the buttons on my first block..but I'm thinking it might be best to leave them off until it's quilted? I can see where they will be a problem if I sew all of them on.

Well, my brain finally kicked in. My great idea of copying another great idea (making individual wallhangings) has hit a snag.

Uh, remember that I put the block on point, so I could set it with hourglass blocks? <sigh> I still really like that idea, too.

Does this mean that I need to make aNOTHER set of basket blocks? :affraid:

I can't find my list of monthly "commitments" - not swaps or anything, but I wrote down my BOMs and challenges and stuff so that I wouldn't suffer that "out of sight, out of mind" syndrome.

Apparently that didn't work!!

I'm downloading this pattern and I just love that site! I think I'm going to make all of these BOM blocks instead of taking a BOM class! These I can afford a little better right now. As soon as I get the first block finished I'll post it.

Yes it does. It is your punishment for posting all of these BOM's that we are then forced to do because they are so darn cute!
lmao

Mine is all cut out and ready to start appliqueing! I'm starting after we get home from Church tomorrow. Hope to post it later on in the week. I think I'm going to do mine like QBee did her's. I like the idea of having something new to hang up each month. Great idea Queen Bee.

Tracey, you can still do that, just put filler triangles in each corner to 'square it up', then if you wanted you could put some hour glass blocks all around as borders. Still make nice wallhangings, all fancy schmancy looking and la-de-dah! Or you could just pike out, add filler triangles and then put simple sashing borders LOL. Bet anyone who recieves one as a :gift1: will be thrilled no matter what

I have mine done, I have mine done!! I did it today and just need to add the buttons and quilt it! I'll do that tonight while watching TV. I added a back to mind and sewed it around and turned it. I'll take a picture of each side. I need to make a sleeve hanger and just add a dall rod to hang it up with. I guess you could say I made mine reverseable. I also didn't go with heart and round buttons. I used a pine tree for the middle and added a red bird to one side and a snowflake to the other.

Can't wait for February 5th when the next one comes out!
