I'm still in too. How many are we supposed to be making anyway? I know I really should go back and read through the entire posting but I truly don't have the time right now to do so. I have 25 or so made but think I might need to make a few more and then get them in mail so they are received by Sept. 30.

Karen, we are just pulling the info. together here. QS has shut down unexpectedly and probably permantly. I think 30 was the number to make and we were sending Deb FQ's equalivant to ther eturn postage. Also, include a large envelop with your name and address so Deb can return your blocks. If you need Debs address, just PM me.

1. Please make sure you stick label on each one with your log and real name and where they are from .. do not write on them unless specified by the people that is receiving the..
I believe one person wanted them signed and that was Polska

2 Place them in a ziplock bag that will fit the same amount that you be returning.

3 Place a return envelope with your blocks that will fit the blocks that are returning with your return address on them. THis will make my job so easy... DO NOT PUT POSTAGE ON THE RETURN ENVELOPE... nice thought but it would be a waste of your quilting money.

4 Fatquarters in lieu of postage is just fine.. there are only 29 members that are signed up if there are less I will give back the blocks that you have made but you will get as many blocks as you make to trade.

PostSubject: Due Date Sept 30!!   Wed Sep 03, 2008 6:58 pm

No one is late yet!! the due date was the end of Sept... it was just that you were able to start sending your blocks at the end of Aug so they didn't get used in the projects I was working on... LOL

if you still want my address..

PostSubject: Envelopes...and blocks and stuff   Wed Sep 03, 2008 7:05 pm

Do not post your Self addressed envelope.. I will not be able to use your stamps and I think there is better use for your money...

Send in an envelope that will fit your 30 nine patches not to big or I will be charged more or will have to change the envelope..

please email me at manicquilter@yahoo.ca if there are any further questions.. if I feel that everyone will need to know your question (don't worry no fingers pointed LOL) I will post the question.. this way I can give an immediate response.. before I was getting the emails when there was a new post I know there is a setting here.. but just have to get my feet on the ground.

Mother and I mad hers last week so hers are in the basket.. I mentioned that her name was on the list.

what I don't have is the list of names.. silly me thinking that things will just last forever... I do have to bring this up with a heavy heart... Merry Bee was in as well.. what do you think about I keep these 30 blocks and make a top out of them for her DH or do you think this would be to heart breaking... just a thought.. cause I know it is breaking mine..

That sounds good to me! Let me know how I can help...I would donate fabric or $$ for backing, batting, or postage!

Sounds good to me too. Even a "couch quilt" for when DH is watching TV would be nice.
I will send whatever you need too.

I think that's a wonderful idea! Will include some extra $$$$ with my blocks when I send them to help with the cost of batting etc.

Hi Deb,
When I talked to Mary's daughter, almost one of the first things she asked me was if Mary was involved in any swaps or anything. Her DD wanted to know if she should look for certain blocks to send off. At a time like this they were worried about others. Their Momma raised them well didn't she?

I offered to finish any quilts that Mary had started so the family would have them. She said a couple of ladies from church had offered. I told her to just let me know if she needed me. (She knew about Mary's birthday blocks but didn't know where they were at the moment.)

Do you have Mary's 9 patch blocks? Did she send them in? I will make them for her if you need them.

Her family would love the quilt if you made it. They appreciated her work very much and I know they will treasure all the quilts they have from her, this one included. I was not in this swap but I would like to help too. I will send you whatever you need just to feel I have a tiny part in this.

I haven't participated in any swaps because I was always afraid I wouldn't make the deadline. The bullseye, the birthday blocks, the 9 patch.... I would give anything to have a little block from my friend to treasure. Some things are definitely worth making time for.....
Thank you for offering to do this.
