Free would be nice! I might dip into MIL's stash for this one. She has lovely fabrics that are more along the lines of what you picked, Golo. I have mostly really bright (like neon colors) fabrics, kid prints, and jewel tones. None of those seem right to me for flowers. I know flowers come in all those types of colors, now, but they don't feel right to me. Undesided

ok,,now I feel out of place or stupid? don't know which, I'm a little confused with the directions on this one, I guess I should have read it closer the directions when I thought about signing up,, I glanced at it and thought it was applique silly me,, doh the pattern says 1/4 inch is that inside the pattern or outside the patter added?and we leave the edges raw and showing? well this is different ,,kinda like doing chille,,know I didn't spell that right lol..

Yes..you'll be sewing 1/4" from the raw edge of the pieces as given..on top of the fabric all the way around. It's supposed to fray at the edges..kind of like the rag quilts?

I love the Tattered Garden also and have asked gimpy if I too may join in on this swap. I will be using scraps I already have. I've made a promis to myself this year NOT to buy anymore fabric till I use up some of what I already have.

I have moved this from Quilt Along to Swaps and Charity Projects... seeing how this is a swap it would be easier to find... Check out the pattern and let me know if you have any questions... I think I will cut and do my blocks next week so I can help any of you after that.... but I think this is rather easy and if you follow the directions you won't have any problems... just have fun... :)

Can you post the rules again, please? I know we are to use cream for the background.... but am unsure as to what the others are using for the floral and leaves...
.................don't want to be too out on the limb when I do mine lmao

Check under swaps... Tattered Garden... for instructions... you can use up your scraps ...whatever you have on hand... there are NO paticular colors picked for this except for a cream background.. enjoy, have fun and don't fret on anything................

I need to buy background fabric too and will tomorrow. I do have my fabric picked out though and my pattern cut out so I'm ready to get started any day.

Does anyone have a preferred color they would like?
