Pookie, the Great Tit is the current BOM pattern - the next should be out, hmmm... any day now. I just checked my list and the new one shoulda been published on the 15th.

There were a couple of bonus patterns that Regina offered as a swap and as a 'welcome' if you sign up for her newsletter. Those and some other freebies are at
http://www.reginagrewe.de/00main/05gratismuster_e.html.

(I wonder why I have the German site bookmarked, when I always click over to the English version when I get there?)

I got an email from Regina this morning.... her new pattern will be out tomorrow.... but she wanted me to know that this is not a regular BOM.... her pattern will come at random when she has time. So don't look for one every month on a certain date.... I think her idea is to use the pattern in many different ways.....

Thanks for that, golo. Hmmm... was that her kinda official newsletter?

I'm okay with waiting, I'm just in collecting mode right now, anyway.

Soooo, Pookie... Have you finished the first block yet? Do you have show and tell??? Applique? Paper foundation piecing??

C'mon, give!! Cheesy

Has anyone checked out the new pattern on Regina's site? I got the newsletter this morning (that said, "Here's something to look at while you're waiting for the birdie") and I absoLUTEly fell in love with the new "Toolbox - Piling Up" pattern - appliqued and paper foundation pieced bowls.

I don't recall that I've been this excited about a pattern in a long time... I'm dusting off my paypal account and converting euros to dollars and dancing in my chair, waiting for the e-pattern! :yahoo:

$3.32 for the e-pattern. I wasn't kidding around - it's ordered and paid for... just checking my inbox now (rather obsessively...)!

lol! That's my kitchen most any evening. Dishes get done during Leno or Letterman - or later!

Chris, I will probably do both pp and applique - app the rounded bowl bottom and pp the "stacks".

FB - thanks so much for the post - I ordered it too. Would be a fun thing to make it in a variety of ways for gifts - Mother's day for my sisters would be great but don't think I'll get to it by then. BTW, I don't get the title "Toolbox" - do you? :hammer:

While I was at it I also ordered Spring Awakening:

http://www.reginagrewe.de/04muster/0403fruehlingserwachen_e.html

The web site said no PDF version but when I e'd her to check on snail mail postage, she said she had the patterns PDF but no instructions. I love paperpiecing & thought it was a cool sampler & don't think I'll have any trouble.

She seems to be a very nice lady & I was glad to give her the business. Very easy to order too.

Ooh, that Spring Awakening looks like a nice sampler. I particularly like the border!!

As for toolbox? It's a translation issue. It actually translates to "model-kit". My guess is it's just their way of saying pattern ?

Do we have anyone who speaks or reads German? The actual text is "Ein Muster-Baukasten für Nähen auf Papier und/oder Applikation."

I agree that she seems very nice - I haven't purchased a pattern in a long, long time but I was happy to send her my $$ !!!

I have a 10 foot wall space above my living room window. My plan is to draw a horizontal "branch" on an 8ft. piece of sky fabric & hand applique the birds on it. Then when the branch is full, finish the branch, offshoot branches, leaves, bird feet, etc.

That's the plan - we'll see what really happens - I've only done hand applique once & felt like I had 10 thumbs! :hammer:
