I just realized all you have to do with this pattern is cut different widths of a 3 1/2" length of fabric. How easy is THIS!!!!! Oh my. I certainly have plans for other quilts now!!!!! These would be very easy for soldier quilts....Uh oh!!!! here I go......inot my STASH!!!!!

My friend's husband who was over there 5 times SHOT one...it scared him so bad. Then he had to explain why he had used his weapon....he didn't get any grief for it... I would make NICE looking blocks for the soldiers Gimpy.

I got 20 blocks made and decided I would need more so did 8 more and then thought if I do a lap 56 x 63... I would need 72 blocks... these are so much fun putting together fabric that looks ridiculous with each other so I am digging into my scraps and making up a whole bunch more blocks :affraid: gosh, scaring myself....

I have top-itis...fear of completing a top. 3 or 4 are at-the-most-of-the-blocks-sewn-together-now-what-do-I-do-stage... :affraid:

I apparently just love to make blocks and send them off in swaps...I think I have at least 20 in various stages of doneness. Right now I'm doing little quilts to try and get myself over that hump. I've got a small shelf with a quilt pole that I'm making quilts for right now. 2 x 3' ish. There's actually a done one on it to inspire me for more!!! sewing2

These blocks have been so much fun, I just kept on sewing and sewing and sewing them... I have 7 rows sewed together and when I get the exchange I'll add 3 more rows and a have a great quilt... I tell ya , know matter how ugly the individual block looks when its all together its quite the scrappy quilt.... I just may use this pattern and make a quilt for my nephew...

Ive been thinking about this and wondering why not sew 2 3 1/2" rows together and then trim to different sizes...it would work on the 2 smaller parts. This is really a hoot. :)

I not so sure I would classify it as "nice quilt" lol!

I think each fabric is Ugly in it's own way....but, when I kept putting them together they didn't seem too 'ugly'.... actually the pic is making them all look pretty good (not ugly) but, really each block is not what a "normal" quilter would put together Cheesy
Using left over scraps and fat qtrs on this...made the cutting time a bit longer...but I did use up some icky fabric that I have no idea as to why I had it scratch lmao

I am just glad I was able to get it done and ready to ship out....was sorta stressing over weather to join this swap or not since I have so much other stuff to do. But I got my 20 quilts ready for the quilt show and decided to dive in and give this a go..... was suppose to do something for DH b-day, but wasn't in the mood....so got this done instead :yahoo:
