LOL I like the tigers, I think they are fantastical looking, same as the tassie devils, such unusal creatures.

Chris there are a lot of debates about the tigers, the govt wont put them onto the extinct list, they are listed as endangered. There are plenty of reported sightings over the years but they often get pooh-hooed. There are two schools of thought, if you see one tell or if you see one keep it secret. In the SW wilderness and over further west than us there have been very credible sightings including one by a wildlife biologist. People think that if they were validated as being seen then some would try to hunt them, imagine the trophy value in such a rare animal. Also if they were validated then it would put a screeching halt to mining and logging operations in those areas and well, that wouldnt go down well with those companies. We believe they are still out there, we believe the govt knows it too, sure would love to see one. One day I might try a zipper, maybe  Thud

There was a great movie about these tigers with William Defoe where he had to hunt the last one. It was very moving!!

Linda 2B your quilt is awesome! great work on the blocks and fabric choices..

Gimpy your fabric will work wonderfully with the leaves how appropriate.

Betweens, get a hold of the book The Hunter, its waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the movie, its the only book of hers I like and I have a well thumbed copy. Oh its by Julia Leigh. Glad you saw the movie, its all filmed just around here, in my photos of the yard you often see Mt Roland and behind it to the left the Central Plateau, well all that bush wilderness he was out in is right there, filmed just there. A guy we know was walking down the street and they stopped him, said he was 'the perfect father' for the movie, LOL so thats Mark in the battered photo the kids have of their lost daddy, he thought it pretty funny to have a part in a movie thats just a photo of you.
Thats where its filmed just there, the snow covered plateau looking at it from our verandah

Perfect fabric for your blocks. It will be gorgeous finished.

I understand the arguments over the tiger. I think if I saw one I would keep it my own little secret and hope some trigger happy nut didn't see it.

OMG I put my top together, its only 6yrs and 2 mnths since we first started the project so Im not too far behind Thud I think I will finish it with a black binding, kind of give it a fine frame to complete it.

I promised myself this year I was going to get some old projects done and off the shelves!! Thumbup

That is so pretty, Gimpy, and a black border will really make it stand out. Lovely colors you chose.

Thank you both, I tried a dark green and a teal blue but they made it all look pale, this colour made it warm and richer looking

Hi Gimpy I'm still here! Yes I've been looking for a house, almost had one with beautiful land but the house was lacking. Lots of other things going on to keep me busy and away from the forum. I'm just to tried most days to get on and if I do I'm to tried to post so I just lurk!

Glad all is well Linda, hope you find the perfect house sooner than you expect, glad you are finally enjoying a summer, its a novelty isnt it? I still get a kick out of enjoying summer after many years of hating them.

Buzzysma, im hoping the black border will just create a narrow frame, like a light picture frame, hope so Very Happy
