How To Create Clickable Links Empty
PostSubject: How To Create Clickable Links   How To Create Clickable Links EmptyMon Jul 05, 2010 5:44 pm

To create clickable links in your posts I have hopefully done an understandable step by step below (quoting some instructions from FiberBabble -thanks FB!!)

*Find the page you want your link to take people to, right click and copy its address.

*Above where you post your reply are all the little icons, like the smiley one. Two to the left of the smiley is one that looks like a chain, like this When you click on it a little window pops up

*In the popup window, the one on top is where you put in the web address - http://blahblahblah.com

*The bottom line is where you put the text that you want to be "blue" (clickable).

LOL first up you wont have to write it down as it will always be here for reference and secondly

CONGRATULATIONS - YOU DID IT - WOOOOOOO HOOOOOO Thumbup Its not so hard is it? Also makes me think my garbled instructions are perhaps understandable? LOL

3rdly - I love currawongs but I know they are almost plague proportions in canberra now. When we lived in NE Vic they only came down in winter and I sure enjoyed their antics and calls. We dont get them around us in where we are in tassie but they are varmits up at Cradle Mt and there is one up on the overland trail who has learned to open zippers and all manner of clips to go through back packs looking for tasty treats. I do love their golden eyes but yes, in the numbers you have, nature is out of whack and its wreaking havoc on the little birds adn I do so love fairy wrens and thornbills etc. We have a couple of butcher birds here, didnt have them in NE Vic but thats who will be leaving decapitated sparrow heads in the cherry tree - ewwwww but their song makes up for it and they are so active and entertaining

I agree Gimpy. When the Currawongs came down from the mountains in the Autumn I loved them There was nothing like a cold foggy morning and hearing that mournful cry they have in those conditions . Magical. It is only because they never go home to the mountains , stay here all year round and as you say in large numbers that has spoilt it. But then they are here because peoples gardens provide lots of food as they don't only eat meat [ ie other birds ] they are also great fruit and berry eaters too . So always a laid on food supply here
BTW ...your instructions were perfectly clear Thumbup

clap Yay for CC!!! You did it!!!!! Hey and guess what? Once you have done it and you all the long line of code gibbersish showing, well you can very carefully go to that, highlight just the word you are making clickable and then change the colour of it by selecting a new one from the colour list situated between the link symbol and the smiley face ;-)

Oh my! I couldn't pi k out my favorite picture. Those bedrooms, the fireplace and patio windows, the yard, oh wow!

I am about 2 1/2 hours from marietta. I'd love to get a hotel and spend a day with you and memaw next summer or fall. Think of the street corners we could hang out on. Woo-hoo!

Seriously Jill, I love the pics and think you will be very happy to be close to family and memaw. I am happy for you and hope you get settled soon.

Thanks, we are so excited about getting moved. We're at the appraisal point now (of this house) and fixing a couple of things the buyer wanted done.  The title work comes next and I don't think it amounts to much but it surely does cost!  I found a moving box at Amazon for a grandfather clock. It costs $72 which DH thinks is way too much. But I think I'd rather spend the money than worry about it getting damaged. I'm also thinking about closet boxes; again, DH thinks it's wasting money, but I do know it's much easier. We'll get it figured it out....and it will not be at the last minute either! Knuppel
