Do any of you have a Canon MP240 printer/scanner? Or maybe just good with printers? I was copying one page and it got stuck. The power light and alarm light are flashing intermittently and the error code says P3. I pulled the jammed paper out pretty easily and there doesn't seem to be anything stuck but it won't stop flashing? I tried turning it off and putting it back on but that didn't help. Oh, and also the printer cartridge carriage is all the way to the right and it usually travels to the center when you lift the cover?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Try gently moving the print cartridge on the track. Sometimes it gets stuck when the paper jams and just needs a little "push". At least that works on my HP. Also, try not only turning it off but unplugging it for a few minutes... then retry. You said you didn't think anything was still stuck in there...so the paper you pulled out was not ripped? If it was, you need to look further to see if a bit of paper is still in there.

When my printer misbehaves (mines an HP), I turn it off, UNPLUG it, shut down the computer, wait 10 min or so, plug the printer back in, turn the computer back on, & turn the printer back on. All better!! Don't know which part of the process fixes it but it works every time! Good luck.

Do you have a reset button on the front of your printer..if so push it and see what happens. So did you look in the back of the printer for a place to check for paper stuck...?

I use Anne Marie's method. Note: with my previous printer, I wrecked it by pulling out a jammed piece of paper to the front. I was supposed to take the back off and dig in there with tweezers. The reason that is my PREVIOUS printer is that the back would fall off, causing jams. (HP replaced the first one on the warranty. That was a relatively high end small office model. My current, cheaper one works like a dream.

Note: one part of DH's "taking care" of me is replacing tech equipment just about the time I get used to it, without any desire on my part to get new stuff.

That's easy. I just yell "GGGAAAARRRRYYY!" That's DH. I am not good with that stuff at all. I guess I am good at figuring out how to use it, but if it doesn't work. That's his thing.
