Quilted Bags Empty
PostSubject: Quilted Bags   Quilted Bags EmptyWed Sep 10, 2008 5:34 pm

I'm new here...but thought I would share one of my lastest obsessions. Not exactly wearable...but sorta!! They are bags! A little about me....I don't like to follow directions! So, I saw a picture of a bag similar to this, but was no way going to buy the pattern! So, a little messing around...and reinventing the wheel, I'm sure, I created this bag. I love them!! The front 'blocks' are actually lined and quilted and are pockets on the outside of the bag. I have made several for friends and family. They are fun and quick and use up scraps!!

Thanks for looking!

Finisher...just tell me when/where/how, etc. I'll be happy to try.

Gimpy...you can make these bags! Trust me! My measurement instructions consist of...'measure about ___ inches' I do nothing in exacts!!

Karol..if you are willing to do a lesson. It's up to you whether you post it just as a tutorial..or do a tutorial and an online class too. To get started you will just type out your instructions and pop links to photos that can be clicked on or put the pics right in your thread post.(which ever is easiest) Post it in beginner's help/technique Tutorials section. If you want to do an online class..get ahold of TLC as she is very good at setting these up and can give you additional pointers. We'd love for you to be kind enough to share. This has been an area of great interest to a lot us lately.

I will try to set up a tutorial tomorrow. Like I said...I have pictures taken already. Then maybe you can do a chat sometime if it was unclear and people have questions.

Karol, Doing it that way would be wonderful for me. My computer is at the opposite end of my house from my sewing room.

I love your bags and would love to learn all your techniques and tips.
