| Marion, I did a tutorial on making one... go to Home page and look for Quilters Resort Online Classes ... click.... then look for Octagon Table Runner.... | |

| Got a question for you ladies. Those of you who get Connecting Threads, do you keep the magazines??? I'm so darned upset with myself, I put one back that I wanted a pattern out of and now can't find it. it had a log cabin quilt done up in one of their lines of material and was put together in the shape of a star in the middle. Can't afford the material right now but wanted to call and see if i could buy just the pattern for it for now. The lady said she couldn't recall the pattern, but if I could give her the numbers on it she could try to look it up for me. I think it must have gotten tossed out and Don has burned the big trash box, so I'm out of luck there. It hasn't been too long ago. Thanks . Norma | |

| Have you got onto their site and looked at their patterns? You just might find it there Norma. I'll look though when I get home Thursday. |

| I sent them an e-mail, surely someone should have a copy of the catalog, at least I would think so. Norma | |

| Try this one http://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=33d85dea6c42I just drew it up. The 2 main colors are sewn as equal WOF strips of whatever width you want. Use the 45* marks on you ruler to cut them. Half will have one color pointy, half the other. I fold a paper as though I were making a paper airplane to get my initial 22.5* wedge (not a part of the quilt) then use the ruler from there. The borders are similarly made with WOF strips. I treat them like mitered corners. That is, I cut each segment a bit big, sew it to the quilt body. Fold the body on the corresponding seam, then sew to the outer edge and trim off the excess. I did this in red green and gold because I thought that might be nice at this time of year. This is MUCH easier than it looks. If the center seams panic you, cut out that part and top stitch on a (gold) square instead. | |

| Now I can't get the pattern pieces to turn around.
I found the Log Cabin Quilt. It's in the December magazine of McCall's Quick Quilts. I kept looking at that one and the one in Connecting Threads trying to make up my mind which one I liked the best and got them mixed up. Thanks for your help. Norma | |
