| I spent time again last evening looking at Featherweight sites. Then I decided to check Ebay. . . and there was a great looking machine with all parts and accesories including the case, exactly as old as I am, and there were just 13 minutes left of the auction. I deided to wait it out and raise my bid at the last minute and I got it!! For less than half of prices I was seeing at other sites. Woo-hoo!! It will take a week or two to get here, and I can hardly wait. | |

| That's wonderful! Really, there's hope for me yet. My Sarah weighs 27 pounds and I get sore trying to take her to quilting group. _________________ If you can't be a hero, be an inspiration.

Thats the way to do it on Ebay.....hate it when someone keeps raising long before the end. Has it arrived yet? | |

| Way to go QBee! Congratulations. I also got my new machine on E-Bay! It comes this Thursday and I can hardly wait. Just ordered it last night!
Which one did you get? Or are all Featherweights the same? I know they seem to be the one machine all quilters want. A good friend of mine had one that she took in her motor home all the time. I'm so happy you got it. |

| Memaw - I think the old ones called Featherweight 221 are all about the same, made from 1933 - 1963. It appears that every few years the company made some minor changes, but I don't know what kind of changes. Gimpy - gee, thanks. The machine and I were both born in 1950. . . I hope we're both forever young. | |

| For me anyone born before 1900 is old, otherwise they still have lots of gumption and you certainly arent old! _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon

| I took my FW in to be cleaned, lubed, and oiled. The sewing machine man said it's a great little machine and that I should be good to go/sew for a long time now. I haven't had it out to give it a try. I think that's what I'll do this evening. Oh, boy! Oh, boy! It will be fun to try it out!! | |
