Hi all - I'm looking for a used book called Celebrated Craziness - it is a Buggy Barn book & costs $22+S&H new but I just want the Butterflies pattern in it. Anyone have one they'd like to sell? You can see the picture of the quilt here:

Wish I had that book. I visited their store while at a retreat in Reardon last May. I found them a little expensive.

Additional note. Don't you hate when you LOVE one pattern in a book and the book is over $20. Hard to pay that kind of money when you really want just one pattern.

I hope you didn't go to any trouble Bearfoot as I got an email this morning from a gal over on The Quilting Board who has one. Can't wait to get it - our latest challenge on the Dorinda quilt-a-long is to use the Buggy Barn technique so I really want to put some butterflies in Granny Annie's Garden!

Thanks everyone. Granny Annie :)

Nope not trouble...and it is a good thing that someone on the other site had it, because I have the one with the dragonflies, but no butterflies. I know I thought about getting it. So I'm glad you found it!

You guys are funny!
Its kind of like Stack & Slash. Here is a tutorial called Crazy Stars that explains it:
http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/projects-ideas/throws-wall-hangings/crazy-stars_2.html

I'm doing this for the Dorinda Quilt-a-Long & their Oct 8 pSt has another tutorial but I couldn't figure out how to make butterflies from it so I bought the pattern:
http://dodmystery.blogspot.com/2011/10/rule-release-12.html

Here is the Buggy Barn site with all the books listed. They sure have a monopoly on the patterns. The Crazy Stars was the only tute I could find on the web. And honestly I don't know why those patterns are so special. (ha, ha - I just bought one!)

Hmmm - - I bought a book there when we were at the retreat in Reardan. It's been so long I can't remember what's in the book. Embarassed I'm going on a search mission to locate the book and see what's in it.

QB, I remember. It don't think it was a book. It was an obscenely complicated pattern with lots of applique. I promised to send you some 2.5 inch squares, but have procrastinated terribly. In fact I have the 2.5 inch squares sitting on my sewing table right now, but they've been there for 2 months and are probably dusty by now. Embarassed

Jo - I did buy that ridiculously putsy pattern which I doubt I'll ever make, and I hold you partially to blame. Why didn't you stop me?!? lmao But, I also bought a book.
