Polska came across this quilt and wanted to share it with everyone here. Its a fascinating quilt, I love it. I was telling Polska that when I was in high school, one of my friends, Melissa, well her mum was born in Changi POW camp, her grandma was a prisoner there. I always liked this quilt, thanks for finding it and sharing the link with us all Polska

Oh memaw lots of the made it out and had wonderful lives, they didnt let it ruin their lives at all. My friends melissa's grandma, I went to her place often and she was a wonderful, happy woman there was simply no way being a POW and having her child in Changi was going to ruin her life. So many defied the effects of war and lead their lives with strength and happiness
