| So my iron was getting some use today with my wedding quilt blocks. I managed to get 30/120 ready to go for next weekend before it had a little run in with a plastic bag. I refuse to try to do any more blocks until I get this fixed. Sooooo....what's the best way to get plastic off of an iron (besides not getting it on there in the first place)? I've given it some time to cool down and I don't think this is necessarily going to be easy, but I really do need this fixed ASAP so I can get the other 90 blocks ready to go. | |

| When most of it is off, use those white Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sponges. Get the sponge wet. Put it on a thick layer of towel. Just a hand towel folded works. Get the iron HOT. Rub in on the wet Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Sponge. | |

| The sponges are just sponges. No cleaning chemicals in them. | |

| I'll have to look for the sponges next time I do something as talented as this! I did ruin a spatula using TX Mary's link, but it's fixed and I finished the last of the wedding blocks today. | |

| You know, I did wonder about using plastic to remove plastic. Thought it kinda quirky but that is how I have always heard it is done. Glad you got it fixed. _________________ TxMaryQuilts
