My Scrap Quilt

Well..so far I really like what you're doing..and I like the addition of the year in there somewhere too. With the new President this year..I think it's a good year to do this? Go ahead and tangent away...! LOL

I am doing the Calendar Quilt Challenge too. I'm doing daily 10 inch strips - mostly around the seasons - so Jan & Feb. are wintry fabrics. But I'm adding dau specific strips if they stand out - like inauguation day has a patriotic strip. Oh, & I am a sucker for a full moon so I'm adding a special strip for those each month. Here is my up to date quilt - the left one is Jan. & the start of Feb is on the right. I've machine embroidered the month on the first block of each.

Very interesting, IABM..... that will be one interesting quilt when you are done...

I thought I had taken a pic of Feb (so far), but when I plugged in my camera I find that it's my Tisket block. Heh.

Now I need to go upload over there!

Iam..I really like your choice of fabrics! I especially like the full moon. This is such an interesting quilt! Thanks for sharing yours too.

If I had of known I might have done this, imagine each hike and exploration trip we did over summer could have been written in, green for forests, gold for beach etc. Sounds like fun, keep posting each month, vicarous leeches wanna see!!!

You could still start one for yourself, Gimpy... you would have so much to put in a quilt like that...

Guess you could start one any time and simply keep going till you get round the day you started 364 days later LOL what about you Golo gonna do one?

Here's my February "block" so far. Tomorrow's Mr. W's bday, Saturday's our anniversary... a couple more bdays occur this month, so I'll have a few things to write in!

Hmmmm but if you don't do any coordinated projects-where do you get the scraps? Just chop up new fabric and throw it in a box?

I finally finished my February Calendar Challenge block this evening. Slowly but surely I'm checking off my February to-do list... hopefully I'll get to do March stuff soon!! :angelic:
