| I am doing the Calendar Quilt Challenge too. I'm doing daily 10 inch strips - mostly around the seasons - so Jan & Feb. are wintry fabrics. But I'm adding dau specific strips if they stand out - like inauguation day has a patriotic strip. Oh, & I am a sucker for a full moon so I'm adding a special strip for those each month. Here is my up to date quilt - the left one is Jan. & the start of Feb is on the right. I've machine embroidered the month on the first block of each. | |

I thought I had taken a pic of Feb (so far), but when I plugged in my camera I find that it's my Tisket block. Heh. Now I need to go upload over there! _________________ Perfection is the enemy of progress

| Hey! I just had a thought! :party-075: I could quilt for the rest of my life making SCRAP quilts and never have to coordinate/match fabrics again.
This is probably not news to many of you, but I just realized this. I'm going to have to ponder this... who knows what could come of it... Wanna go on a little field trip? Check out THIS post from the Tallgrass Prairie Studios blog. Seriously. This is really changing the way I'm thinking. I just read the latest love-fest in the Baltimore Bliss thread - THAT could be done with scraps, not necessarily coordinated or themed... Yep. Definitely going to ponder.... _________________ Perfection is the enemy of progress

| Hmmmm but if you don't do any coordinated projects-where do you get the scraps? Just chop up new fabric and throw it in a box? _________________ TxMaryQuilts
