Happy Villages is the book I bought on the shop hop. I am anxious to give this a try. Collage isn't usually something I like, but this one sure looks like fun!

Polly, I love your wall hanging. It looks and sounds like a lot of fun - except for quilting all those little pieces. I think the variegated thread is a perfect solution and would add interest too. I'm heading for the gallery to see if you have a larger picture in there.

Thanks for the site Annie!

Question: Do the templates come with the book?

Cottonpicker.........thank you very much for the compliments :D No the template you have to make for yourself but its very easy. I made mine from a cereal box (recycling again!) And believe it or not i pieced the top in a day. It really is so easy. Glad you all like it.

Polly, her new book is entitled "Layered Waves". The book is to show us more ideas using her layered topstitching technique from "Accidental Landscapes".

"FALL 2008 UPDATE: Here is a small sampling of actual projects to be included: Random Roses, Layered Log Cabin Quilt and Shifting Sands. In addition there will be over 10 innovative border designs, ideas for jackets, vests, a summer hat, market bags and much more!" (from Karen's website)
