| Hi all, Just added another ruler from a customer request. Let me know what you think. It is ~ 1/4", basic ruler 3 in wide. This customer did not request it, but we were thinking about putting metric on the opposite side? Thanks, Dennis | |

| Looks great. Some kind of an clear edge piece down the center that you can use as a handle but clear so the angle marks would still show. I use one now that's really an add-a-quarter ruler. This would be much nicer.
What kind of price would you need? | |

| Looks easy to use... I think metrics on the other side would work well.. | |

| you know whats funny, here I live in metric land but I never use the metric side of my rulers, all my quilting is pretty much done imperial It is handy to have though and I think it would be a good idea to add it to your ruler. Speaking of rulers, do you do any small ones, fit into a pencil case? I had one years ago a friend sent me from the states, I kept it in my stuff I took in the car, hiking etc, was so handy. I havent seen one since, just a small simple one - just a thought Oh and another thought, do you put a hole in one end of your rulers? Personally I like rulers to have a hole in them so I can thread ribbon and hang it behind the door safe and out of the way _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon

| Looks good....metric on opp side good idea. Like Helen's hole idea as well....some people hang their rulers on peg boards. Maybe a 1/4 inch line somewhere on it? | |

| Hi, How long and wide would you want the ruler to be? 1/8 or 1/4" thick? We can certainly do a hanging hole.
Thanks! Dennis
-- All this is easy for me. I just say "Terri, add a hanging hole" She says "Yes sir"... Sure...

| I would think a 1/4" thick ruler would be sturdy and last Holes are good, I drilled a hole in my cutting mat so I hang it! _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon

| Id think it would need to be wide enough to fit a suction cup handle to for holding it _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon

| Terri is working on the ruler. Will post a pic when completed. Thanks for the input. We here in the states really didn't know you needed a ruler while hiking but there must be tons of interesting stuff to measure in the wild there. | Alrighty then. The new ruler suggested by Gimpy Cat is now available. This baby is cool! Made out of ~ 1/4" acrylic produced especially for us by former farm laborers in or about the area of Guam. It is 8" long and 1 3/4" wide. It has cross hairs, 45 and 30 degree marks. And, the all important hanging hole. I attached a suction cup to it and it really sticks. Need a block and tackle to get it loose or you can just lift the tab. Buy more than one to keep them handy in your camper, boat, motorhome or anywhere else a quilting measuring emergency may rear its ugly head. Let me know what you all think! Dennis | |

| I like it. I like the 8" versus the standard 6" of most small rulers. I like the hanging hole and the 45* angle mark. Hmm, how about posting again where we can get one and see your other stuff. _________________ TxMaryQuilts

Thanks! Dennis You mean I can measure teeth like these?? COOL!!! This is a baby tasmanian devil, a joey, reckon he might let me measure his teeth if Im nice, actually it would be Laura who would want to measure his teeth (its her photo too) she is the kinda kid who would drag a ruler around to measure scat and all manner of stuff Combine harvesters, you need rulers in them - there is a lady in the states who has a treadle sewing machine in hers and she sews while ploughing the endless fields, I bet she could use a mini ruler for sure! They look great, as TxMary said, how much do you want for the etc? I could get a couple, that way Laura could have one, she could use it to measure things like the penguin wing her dad bought home for her, or the wombat skull she found hiking and bought home, or the fish jaw I picked up for her on the beach recently, ooooooooohhh wait, then there is the shark eggs we collected, we could measure them too and, and, and.......................... Mini rulers are handy little buggars to be sure _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon

| Love the 8 inch one. You don't see them like this one. the angle lines, wider and 8 rather than 12 or 6 inch. | |
