Hi Sharon, sorry I dont have this machine but hopefully someone will know something about them to help you. Some of the members are currently away on a retreat, so you might not get an answer for a few more days.

Just got on line and checked this machine out and I really like it.    It seems like a very reasonable price to me.  I would check out their warranty and any reviews they have from others who have bought them. That always tells me a lot...... the reviews.

I did show my hubby and even told him the price!   The HQ16 I want is anywhere from $8,000 - 10,000!    And aren't all Long Arm quilters about the same anyway?

Haven't had time to check this out yet but I will. Memaw is right, look for and read reviews, but take them with a grain of salt. People who don't pick up on the mechanics of doing something easily are quick to blame the machine instead of allowing for a reasonable learning time.

And no Memaw, not all long arms are created equal.  winking

Oops!   I knew TxMary would see that one Sharon!  Undesided   Now I'm in trouble....... do I laugh or  lmao cry?   cry2

I guess I was meaning that they're all a form of sewing machine that you sew with.  But I agree you need to COMPARE each one, then make your decision just like you would any other machine you'd be buying.

Am I forgiven TxMary?   bowing

LAs are not all the same by any means.  Lots of sour notes among my guild sisters on this point.  The guild owns a used factory reconditioned Gemmill and loves it.

DH has examined a large number of mid-arms and LAs and concluded that many are not worth buying.
