| I'm making a T-shirt quilt for a friends daughter. I have one block that I am having a hard time figuring out what to do with. I am custom quilting each T-shirt block. Here is a picture of the block. It is about 12 inches across by 16 inches high. I don't want to quilt it very densely as I have minkee on the back and don't want to crush the softness of it. | I am sure someone has a good suggestion. Let's see what experts have to say. | |

| Joann I cant get a good look at the block to offer any suggestions, I could even get it to show in the gallery so some glitch occuring, do you have a bigger picture? I looked up Martin McBride and see she is a country singer, what about quilting musical notes and bars, cowgirl boots, lassoo? Something country or music themed? _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon

| I had a terrible time with this picture. If I made it any bigger, QLR said it was too large to download. It has words sll over it. I was thinkong of outlining the larger letters which are M Mc for her initials but they ate on top of other letters. | |

| What I would do is outline the large initials close to the letters and again 1/4" away..this will make a raised outlining all around the initials. Then I would just to straight lines in the background, like lines on a paper. | |

| I think you may have to "sacrifice" some of the background if you want the big letters to stand out. I like both previous ideas, especially Helen's music notes idea. Love Martina McBride. _________________ TxMaryQuilts

| I just outlined the large letters. TMQ, you said the magic words. I think I just needed 'permission' to sacrifice some of the background. I'm going to do some lines and I'm looking for a musical note I can quilt. | |

| Such good advice. I outlined the M Mc. Then below the M and above the Mc, I quilted a cleff note that is about 5 inches x 3 inches. Ignored the background and just quilted right over the background. It's perfect. | |
