Cuz I can't find anything good to use for a border pattern for my 12 Dog Days of Christmas quilt in anything I have!

I guess I have one maybe pattern, but I did the same one on my butterfly quilt for the borders and it was kind of a pain, so I was looking for something different. This is really going to push this quilt back, because I am the world's slowest hand quilter and I was hoping to have it done by Thanksgiving so it would go on the wall right after that. Since I know it takes me forever to ahnd quilt something, I'd been giving myself little goals and was going to shoot for one side a week on the borders.

Grrrr.... Anybody have any good sites to check out? I think I may be checking the library catalog online to see if they have anything that might be remotely helpful.

A friend designed one that might help you. I'm on the wrong computer so i can't send a picture right now. (My friend did not sell her patterns and is now dead.) The pattern was merely paw prints. The 'toes' were small squares. The heel pad was a rectangle with the 2 upper corners cut off, The whole thing was relatively simple piecing, with staggered 'steps'.

Do you machine applique? How about some bones with ribbons on them interspersed with some simple holly leaves. Or pick out elements from the "12 days".

(I suggested machine applique because I find it faster than hand work, but of course hand applique would work.)

A piano key border or simple squares using fabric and colors from the quilt would be fast and easy too. They always look good to me.

Don't they all.

Sorry I misread it Bratt. But being a mom I came up with the same idea as your mom. See, great minds do think alike :quilting1:
