Anyway I can get a smoke yellowed quilt white again? It was given to me by my mother-in-law from her father's estate. It has that yellowed smoke stain on top where it laid on the bed.

I would try soaking it in the tub with that quilters soap that you can buy at the LQS or from Clotildes

Thank you I will try that. It is a beautiful double wedding ring quilt. I don't know it's history but it sure is pretty even with the yellow stain. I'll let you know if it works.

Be careful after rinsing the quilt. It will be very heavy wet and you have to pick it up carefully. Lay it out on several blankets in the yard to dry. If it is sunny--cover it with a sheet to protect it. Hope it works.
