| I have but only on crib sized quilts. Worked well for me. | |

| Probably QM. Three noodles...roll backing on one, batting on second, and top on third. Unroll backing partway, lay batting on that and unroll partly, then lay top and pin then unroll each more until done. I’ll post link to video when I get home. | |

| Yes, it's the same. I think the main advantage to the boards is that they are rigid and don't give. So your fabric stays tauter. The noodles can bend if you pull a bit too hard so you need to be careful about that. I think baby quilts are about as big as I would go too with a noodle. _________________ TxMaryQuilts

| It's hard for me to picture using a noodle for basting. My dad used them as traffic cones when he was teaching me to drive! | |

| If you make a snug sleeve for your wooden pieces with a 6" or so leader (flap, whatever you want to call it) you can pin to that and then start rolling it up and I think that gets it started better than trying to just roll up the 2x4 in the quilt pieces.
