Golo that looks beautiful, well done, cant wait to see it finished. Faithe will love it

Mamu you gave great advice and explained it well, thanks for helping out, I was worried I wasnt making sense LOL.

Jessica needleturn is really easy but dont start out on a mc kenna ryan pattern, that would be a case of self abuse!!! LOL We dont want to see that LOL

Polly when I did the meandering stitch to anchor it all down, then when I sandwiched it ready to quilt from memory I simply did in the ditch quilting around the borders and I think I quilted some 'air movement' into the sky. Again, needleturn is easy but dont try it on McKenna Ryan unless you want to start a masochist movement with Jessica LOL

Golo. thats it now..........i really do have to have it! I am starting to save my pennies now!

Gimpy.....I have tried needleturn a few times and usually end up having a major hissyfit because never goes right, or it frays, or my circles looks like hexagons etc etc. I am guessing patience is the answer! And no I would never try it on any of Mckenna's patterns.....that would just be boarder line insane! :others-171:

I think for Mckenna's work I will stick to Mamu's suggestion of fusing down....my favourite applique method :D

Ooo, how interesting. I received the email from McKenna about her patterns and fabric today. I'm such a sucker for her stuff...will have to add it to my list of things to buy. I still need to make that "Calling Me Home" kit I bought.

I have some patterns of hers I hope to work on this year, some must be about 8yrs old, packaged in the brown paper bags she used to do when she was first geting going, they are special to me as they came from a quilt store in montana :-) I swapped the patterns for some embroidery designs. I have the chickadee one with them on a branch and a log cabin in the snow, its so pretty and then there are some flower ones, mmmmmm love her stuff. I need more time
