I just got my new catalog. I love the aquas they have in there. I really liked the snowman print too. They had some good buys on books too.

I got two copies today. Maybe I will give one to Bratt.

I saw a kit I loved about 1 or 2 catalogs ago. Thought it would be great it it was on sale. Couldn't find it. Oh well. That are UFO's and WAD's. What about Wish Ida Done? WID's.

Yes golo I did see that log cabin mini quilt and I think it could be made using 4 1/2" blocks. I have a log cabin pattern with those size blocks and I may have to try that later this year. If it does work out I'll send you a paper pieced block to copy and then you can make one for yourself.

I'm making each one of my dd's a quilt for Christmas and I'm going to suggest they look at this site for the fabric. I'm having them quilted by a woman using her long arm, and I can't afford to spend $9-12.00 per yard for the fabric! This fabric is very reasonable and also very pretty. I just won't shop Joann's anymore for fabric. It's getting shabby looking more and more.

Just to let you know, the new Aqua Terra fabrics are wonderful! I just got my order for the FQ collections. LOVE the colors! I must say that the new cottons are really much nicer. The colors are must nicer, IMHO. I love their thread too and have purchase several kits.

I do still shop at JoAnn's, but am very selective on fabric. I do like to buy their batting. It's not as good at LQS, because it has little seeds in it sometimes. If I am making a quilt with really light fabric, I'll go the LQS for batting.

If I am making a quilt for someone that isn't quite on my A list. Okay, I admit that sounds snotty.

I'm making a baby quilt for a friend's son's baby. I see the friend only about 2 times a year and I haven't seen her son for about 2 years. I am much closer to her daughter who is also a friend of my DD. That fabric came from JoAnn's.

Stupid me, I just caught on to the thread thing about European threads being spun differently. Is that like Australian toilet water swirling counterclockwise when flushed? Do tell Gimpy!

Yes I got mine today. I just glanced at it because I'll look through it tonight while we "watch" basketball and then football.

I also got a McCall's Quick Quilts magazine, and a Michigan bulb catalog! I hope those ball games last for hours because I have lots of pretties to look at!

I got mine too today. Got some other catologs too. Got one from Nancy notions. The country store and flower and seeds. Oh boy will have fun dreaming tonight. I just love getting them. Get so many good ideas.

Ohhhhhh, the possibilities TxMary! I'm going to get the basket enlarged Friday at our Library. Then I'm coming home to start my search in my stash for just the right fabric's. If I start now, I just might get it finished in time for Easter!

Working on an applique kit right now from Connecting Threads... don't remember what year I ordered it but its a fun one to do...

I've ordered fabric from Quilt in a Day also and the quality was good. they run skinny bolt sales a lot.
