Hmm Norma, that's interesting. . . I'm not the one you're looking for, but it makes me wonder if that's how it works with my e-mail, too, and if others have found the same thing happening.

Hmm..I deleted an email notification and it didn't make my message disappear. There has to be a malfunction somewhere?
Let me try sending you a message and see if it works?

You did click on the "You have no messages" link at the top of the page and went to see if the messages were not actually there, right? The "You have no messages" just mean you have no messages that you haven't already read...maybe they got checked off as read. Just a thought

Thanks every one, never did find them on here and all it said in Hot mail was the message that I had two messages waiting for me , so I deleated them and came directly here and found nothing so, I guess it must have been tests. Never had that happen on QS, so I figured it would be ok to get them off, but won't next time. Also the message always showed up on hot mail too, but not on this one. Just have to leave them next time until I read them I guess, Just didn't want any one to think I was ignoring them on my pms. ❤ Norma

Those might have been the messages that welcomed you to the forum and told you that your account was activated too. Those would have been deleted when you deleted them from Hotmail. 😕

I have posted on a few different topics. The problem, I can't remember or can't find where I posted so I can check back. Is there any way of telling where or what I have posted? scratch

Dustee, Scroll to the top of this page and click on Memberlist. Find your name and click on it. Then look for blue writing on right side of page that says something like 'show all post by Dustee In Iowa. That will show you your posts and you can click on each one to see if there are any answers. That's the way I do it. There may be an easier way.

Also Dustee...we had a glitch in our system over the weekend and the posts that were made on Sunday have been eaten by the Server. I know that has caused some confusion because a lot of us posted things and when we went to check back on replys..the posts were gone.

You can also click on Watch this topic for replies just above the white reply box at the bottom of the page.

I wanted to ask you about your Avatar Dustee..Is that a quilt you have made..or are going to make? It sure has a nice Autumn theme!

Cottonpicker and Finisher, Thanks for the info. I am able to find my way around a lot easier.

Question though, when I click on "watch this topic", where do I go to find the topics I am watching?

Finisher, I surfed around the net looking for Fall pictures for my Avatar. (I was pretty proud of myself. I figured out how to add an avatar all by myself!!) I would like to make one of these, but can't justify the cost of the pattern right now. I did find a FREE pattern for a Fall wall hanging that is pretty cute. Check it out.

Dustee..when you've clicked on watch this topic..you should get an email alert when something is added.

Your Avatar is pretty..but some of those patterns have crazy prices! Some cost more than a whole book. I won't spend big money for a pattern My budget doesn't allow it. It wouldn't be that hard to make one up myself. I took a peek at the one you posted..it's cute too! The Scarecrow is nicer than the one in your Avatar that they want big bucks for.LOL

Finisher, Some of the prices they charge for patterns is way out of line. I make a few of my own patterns for applique and quilting. My imagination isn't what it used to be. I have lost a lot of creativity a long the way. Haa Haa

That site I posted has a lot of free patterns on it. I want to take some time and look it over closer.

Thanks for the compliment on my avatar. Maybe next time I will put on something I have made myself.

Now that I have figured out the avatar, my next move is to figure out the signature and come up with something clever to say.... that may be a tough one. Tee Hee

Also to help you get around the board, up the top left hand corner you will see the word 'actions' if you click on that it will bring up a little box that says

Actions !

thats where you can get around the forum a tad easier. the first one shows you all the new posts/topics started too. 2nd one will show where you wrote and any answers, 3rd one shows where a topic is started and no posts have been made in it and the last is what you choose to watch

Hope that helps

Remember, however, that if you click on the first one, it only gives you posts in the category you are in.

Hmmmmm Bonnie, I am not sure that would be called a "Site, Computer and Gadget problem".
You might want to post out in the Chit Chit area and start a new thread to get more exposure and probably an answer!

Not sure where to ask this, without making a new thread so I thought this would work because it says "I've Got A Problem" Here is the problem and question:

I am wondering if you can make corrections to a (Reader) PDF file after you have downloaded or saved it to your computer? I know you can copy it to a word file, but then when you do that it comes out all wonky and editing it that way is the pits! You might as well start all over from scratch. scratch

You have to have Adobe pdf (Writer) to make changes to a pdf file. Those are not free.
Chances are if you didn't write it you won't be able to make changes. You might go to the Adobe website for information

Thanks CC, Thumbup Well I write it in Word and then convert it over, was wondering if them who recieve it as a Reader could make corrections or not. It really is not a biggie just was wondering about it. Just because I was fooling around with a reader pdf and didn't really understand anything about it. Oh, well like I said no biggie. Thanks again.
