Do you also get emotional at parades when the Vets march by? I do. Maybe because hubby is a vet. Just something about seeing them in uniform makes me tear up. Makes me PROUD.Beautiful Bobbie! I have sew many scraps I really need to do something with them! |

| The most stunning and awe struck thing I ever witnessed was the 21 gun salute and taps being played at my father's funeral. and because it rained and the flag got wet they offered my stepmom a new dry folded flag because they do not unfold a folded flag... | |

Makes me PROUD.Oh yeah, I blubber like a baby at the National Anthem. The most heart wrenching scene I have ever witnessed was all the vets that lined up and saluted my father's casket when the flag was laid on top. The very first was my brother, then my son (active at the time) a granddaughter's husband then all my cousins and after that all the neighbors. Even the active military honor guards were neighbors to my father. THey were really struggling to keep it all together. Yep. Blubber like a baby!!! | |

| I don't so much with the old guys but get emotional when I see all the fine young men and women together. My eldest son was Air Force for 15 years. |

| How can we NOT care about the deaths of brave young men and women? A country has a great loss from these fine people's deaths. | |

| Thanks, everyone. I also tear up everytime I hear the national anthem. I remember when my son was in the choir and they sang a patriotic medley, he said he could hardly hold it together to sing, made me proud he felt that way. | |

| Both are very nice. I am a mite partial to the roses and if you run out of room to hang these beauties, I'm sure I could find room. In fact if I hung the roses in my office cubby it would make me think I was looking out my non-existant window! | |

| Thanks for all the compliments everyone. Here are 2 more minis I just finished. The owl was a free pattern somewhere but can't find it again. The designer's site is www.cherryblossomsquiltingstudio.com but I don't see it there. The girl reading book is from Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks, Vol 7 - the designer is Stacey Carey. | |
