| AOL - good one! "It's nice to stop and smell the...Best press?" I've been stitching blocks together - and doing my usual fretting about getting the corner triangles and seams to match. I think of you often while pinning as I use the method you taught me! Now I'll think of you and chuckle when I Best Press! | |

| I used to have a Maytag cordless and loved it but the teflon died and they don't make them any more. Been drooling over the Panosonic. Costs $100. | |

| I'm thinking the Oliso would be a good think to ask for for Christmas. DH likes me to ask for something specific so he doesn't have to think. | |

I edited this just a bit, but this is what I do too Mary Ann. My iron is a black and decker steam iron. But I use a spray bottle. When I do use my steam iron I always make sure I have distilled water in it...... not sure if that has anything to do with rust problems or not, but can say I haven't had that problem using distilled water. |

| My iron plugs in, its blue and white and it has a flat side that gets hot, I use the flat side to squish my seams and repel cat invasions, sometimes I dream of using that side to 're-educate' DH. I dont give mine any water because then, just like an alpaca, it spits at me. It has no name _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon

| Mine is a Black and Decker because that's what DH bought when my lovely Rowena was mysteriously broken. I use separate spray.
Spitting irons remind me of a family story, I'll tell part of it: Great Grandmother, who was a Principal Teacher in Bakersfield, CA, had a Chinese 'houseboy'. Those paragons kept house, cooked, tended the garden, etc. It was the custom of houseboys to take a giant mouthful of water and spray it over the laundry before ironing with a sad iron. This gem of a houseboy suddenly departed one day after years of service, being replaced by a cousin. Hours later, Great Grandfather was told that the houseboy was wanted for 273 murders as a tong hit man. Great grandmother insisted that it could not possibly be true and besides, he was the best houseboy she'd ever met.
