PostSubject: Newly Discovered Fabric Site   Newly Discovered Fabric Site EmptyTue Feb 09, 2010 9:28 am

I recently discovered this site for fabric. I needed to call them and they are truly an online store only. They do make an exception sometimes with local people who shop onlin at their store, but she told me that is not often. They do not mark up their fabric much AND they pass along special deals that manufacturers give. Example: The fabric I purchased was $3.50 per yard. She told me that the manufacturer gave a really good price to everyone on the main fabric and regular price on the coordinating fabric. She passed along the price on the main fabric to the consumer.

https://www.deltapatchwork.com/index.php

I'm thinking of making a Kaffe Fasset quilt and their fabric from his line is as low as $4.95 per yard.

The owner also mentioned that they enter specials on Fridays, so watch every Friday for specials. AND another thing they do is show how many yards they have of the fabrics. I was online and watched as she entered my order and the number of yards dropped. Very nice when you are ordering and can see if they have enough for your needs.

Thanks Luvs for the Deltapatchwork site! I ordered some fabric from them to see if I like it....great prices and the fabric is wonderful! I got some Benartex batiks and a few others...until I had free shipping!!!
I really REALLY thought I was going crazy...I could not find where I had heard of that website and looked on our sister site...then I thought of here and viola!
I wanted to let you know the fabrics feel and look top notch to me!

Gnomatter, I thought the same thing. They are wonderful and the pictures are a good representation of the color. Photos sometimes distort the color.

Here's the math on what I did:

Purchased here: 8 Yards at $8.96 plus tax: $76.34

Delta Patchwork: 8 yards at $3.50 was $28 plus $5 for shipping or $33. That would be a savings of $43.34.

HHHHMMMMM. Better get some more fabric to get free shipping. A yard here a yard there....$60.50.

Did I save $43.35 which is the difference between the fabric her and the one at Delta Patchwork?

Did I save $15.84 which is the difference between what I purchased here and what I purchased at Delta Patchwork?

I'm thinking $43.35. Let's think positive.

Nothing really... they are both good fabrics... the bottom might be a touch softer... the bottom ones I chose and the top ones they just send you ...

I discovered this site while searching for backing fabric for a UFO i started last summer and am close to finishing soon. Their batiks are cheaper than the LQS by about 1.50 per yard.
Also ran across this McKenna quilt (this one was new to me......theme is Christmas in OZ)
