| I just finished 2 mini quilts and I love them.. really pictures do not give material justice..but if you go to my blog and click on the picture you will see the fabrics used. http://patchworksanity.blogspot.comone of these will be for my swap partner!! I worked on them all day long and yesterday as well...just put the last binding stitch in and now have to do the labels.. |

| Oh wow they are really beautiful Betweens, the fabrics are lovely and the patterns give just the right sparkle and shine to christmas, like when ornaments turn and reflect the light. You have been busy and they are lovely, someone is going to be very very lucky to recieve a mini from you Oh and your snowfall quilt, OMG, I love it, are the snowflake blocks fussy cut fabric or appliques/pieced? Its in the exact shade of inky smokey blue I love so much, darned hard colour to find. Oh yummy, its heavenly!!! Do you need my addy to send it along?????? _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon

| Mini`s are alot of fun to make and really are just as much work as a large quilt when piecing. The second one there is alot more piecing and fussy cutting to make sure that the spinning blocks jive I made sure the lines all were the same way in the blocks. I hope to see everyone make a mini this is a great way to learn a technique but not in a big way. Thanks Gimpy for the comp`s the snowflake one is a fussy cut. It was a kit that I got at one of the quilt shows (not cheap) but I loved the fabric so much it is a batik (which is not my favorite) but the color I too loved. Batik`s are not the easiest to hand quilt so I will be machine quilting it. just a grid kinda thing or I may see how much my friend will charge me to LAQ it. - Gimpy Cat wrote:

| I think I'd do better with a paper pieced one. Less margin for error.
HEY, maybe I'll bring that one to the retreat. | |

| Oh its come out beautifully Deb, love the quilting patterns and the quilt itself, those pinwheels really made it and the border fabric is beautiful. Have to say, love the hostas and blue spruce in the first pic and what is the flowering plant in the second pic? Awesome idea to photograph it with the plants, I love it _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon
