Fabric Care Empty
PostSubject: Fabric Care   Fabric Care EmptyWed 5 Jan - 15:39

This relates to 100% cotton fabric.... posted at www.stitch-n-frame.com

I have compiled the directions on Fabric Care from a number of the manufacturers. Here is what they say about their fabrics.

Machine Wash Warm, With Like Colors
Mild Detergent
Delicate Cycle
Do Not Bleach
Do Not Dry Clean
Tumble Dry Low
Remove Promptly
For Best Results, Pre-Washing is Recommended
Use Warm Iron
Not Intended for Children's Sleepwear
Dark Shades May be Subject to Excess Crocking and Bleeding

that is a good list. handy to have all together. Pretty much how I wash, like colors together and all. I don't know what crocking means though. scratch

Does fabric crack? Maybe like a crackle appearance?

Crocking is when two pieces of fabric rub together and the colour from one rubs off onto the other. I can't say that I have ever seen this happen though it is mentioned often. Maybe it is only with cheaper fabrics
