| OOps, I posted this on another thread, but it belongs here. You make it by sewing an even number of strips together, then cutting 45 degree wedges, Alternately, you could fussy cut the center octagon and add 45* trapezoids to that. I drew it up with Christmas fabrics, but it could be just any set you like. The strips do not have to be equal widths. | |

| Nice topper ! Looks simple enough. I have very little in the way of xmas decor...just too much to have to store it all. I got my tree decorated but notice DH and DS have moved furniture around the basement and have buried all other decor. So its up to them to either dig it out or we will go without. | |

| Looking for the Gypsy Wife pattern booklet. It is sold out everywhere with long pre-order lists; apparently there is a printing problem somewhere. There are 2 editions of the pattern and there have been many quilt-a-longs in recent years. I love the quilt & would like to join this year's quilt-a-long I found here: https://www.stitchedincolor.com/blog/2019/1/7/the-2019-gypsy-wife-quilt-along | |

| My daughter wants to do that too. I'll have to keep an eye out for the pattern. _________________ TxMaryQuilts

| Thanks ladies. Will keep those in mind but I have shelved the gypsy idea for now. Started a herringbone/braid quilt instead. Have all the strips cut. Going to try doing it QAYG. | |
