I think Fiberbabble's answer is the best one.

If I figured right...if you take an extra 1/8th seam you will end up 1" short d/t you are using 1/8" off EACH fabric. You would have to take 1/16th" wider seam. You might want to check your 1/4" foot to make sure it is actually 1/4" and not a hair (scant 1/4")...it would make a difference on something like this.

My high school math teacher told me I'd need math someday....it took another 35 years and yup...he was right....should have studied more!!

I've always thought we midwesterners have the least?/best? accent? lol!

My dear mum grew up on Long Island and even though she was transplanted at 19 she never completely got over the missplaced r's. Grammar sounded like gramma. And Grandma sounded like grammar. Very Happy

My high school math teacher begged me to never ever ever ever take any job that involved math, I only ever passed one math test and that was the state level one and I got in the top 10%, to this day never worked out how that happened. Instead I left school and became a cash office manager and wages clerk lmao Then I was a bookeeper, accts clerk, more wages etc etc. I can do math just fun, as long as its logical and doesnt want me to cos/sin/tan it, eh! lmao lmao

Before Laura was born dad asked if his granddaughter was going to speak American or English, I promised him Id take care of it, as soon as she could talk I taught her to say "G'day Ya'll" lmao

Gimpy - I can't remember where Bob grew up. It seems it was the southern U.S., but was it far enough south so he had/has the drawl?
