what I have always loved are the quilts and blankets made by the soldiers themselves, they are amazing, often made in POW camps or on the front lines.

Jill: didn't think of that. I would really love to see them in person.
I went to something a few yrs ago in Antioch, CA to what I was told OLD quilts. I was dissappointed. Only a few were old. Most were from 1970's on up. I wanted to see 1950's and lower.
