| Im thinking of doing this one next, I have had the pattern out for a week now, keeps calling to me, I keep touching it and looking, my pattern is an old one, before she got all fancy and started making her own fabric lines etc, but this is the quilt, its not too big, surely I could start something new thats not on any list??? Out of curiosity I looked at her new remake of it done in batiks, I think I prefer the original - what do you think, the original is the paper pkt and the new the batik dark one _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon

| Oh, they're both stunning. I like the older version best, but the border fabs on the new one really POW. So... I guess it's the lighter background (the old version) with better borders. :angelic: _________________ Perfection is the enemy of progress

| I like the GREEN one...but would switch the dark background for something lighter so the birds can be seen better | |

| Oh I sure do like that pattern!!! I like them both, but love the one at the bottom if the sky was much lighter. The rest of it is beautiful, the border is nicer and the mountains and house colors are prettier but that dark back ground really ruins the whole thing. That is beautiful!!! Norma | |

| Hmmm...I like the dark background because it makes the nestled cabin look nicer..and the greenery, but the birds don't show up very well? I say..go medium! |

| I don't care for the sashing on the new one and its too dark, you can't see the chicadees cute little faces. This is a real sweet pattern...I say clear your cutting board and go for it! | |

| I agree with FB, I like the older one, but that newer border is definitely an improvement. | |

| Henny Penny I was actually looking at it a couple of days ago, the bundle of fabrics I tied with a ribbon and lots of plans/hope. Sadly I havent yet made it, I havent sewed anything much since march, hope my mojo comes back soon, in 10yrs I have never 'not sewn' but I will be making this one day, I love the chickadees _________________ "My will is mine.....I shall not make it soft for you" Aeschylus, Agamemnon

| That's a pity Gimpy. It is such a nice pattern I like the top one for its lovely wintery look but feel the border fabric lets it down . The second one has such different look to it . a night coming on look . Lovely in a different way. I do agree that the Chickadees heads don't seem to show out as well but that may only be because of the photo. It may look different in reality. |
